About Us
National Centre for Compositional Characterisation of Materials has been set up by the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE) under Bhabha Atomic Research Centre (BARC) as a premier institution for analytical chemistry to cater to the growing demand of material characterisation with respect to its composition in the country.
This centre is equipped with state of the art facilities and has highly qualified and experienced scientists and support staff. The laboratory became fully functional in 1997 and since then has been offering analytical services besides having a strong presence in R&D.
The facilities available are divided into Bulk Analytical Laboratory, Surface and Profile Measurement Laboratory, Ultra Trace Analysis Laboratory to provide analytical solutions to a wide range of problems. We also encourage participation in joint R& D activities to mutual benefit to solve specific problems of the industry as well as problems of national importance.
